About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Pharmaceutical Scientist to join their dynamic research and development team in Aberdeen . This pivotal role will involve contributing significantly to the discovery and development of novel pharmaceutical products, from early-stage research through to preclinical development. You will be instrumental in designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance drug candidates. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, execution, and interpretation of complex experiments in drug discovery and development projects.
- Develop and optimize pharmaceutical formulations and manufacturing processes for new drug entities.
- Conduct rigorous analytical testing and characterization of drug substances and products using advanced techniques.
- Author and review scientific reports, protocols, and regulatory submission documents.
- Mentor junior scientists and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
- Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature and technological advancements relevant to pharmaceutical research.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related life science field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical industry , with a focus on R&D.
- Proven track record in drug formulation development and characterization techniques.
- Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, and Mass Spectrometry.
- Strong understanding of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent scientific writing, presentation, and project management skills.
