About the Role

Our client, a leading sports medicine clinic in Portsmouth , is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Physiotherapist specializing in sports injuries. You will provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation for athletes of all levels, from amateur to elite. This role requires exceptional clinical skills, a strong understanding of biomechanics and sports-specific rehabilitation, and the ability to work collaboratively with coaches, sports scientists, and other healthcare professionals. You will contribute to a high-performance culture focused on optimising athlete recovery and preventing future injuries, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide accurate diagnoses for sports-related injuries.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation programs.
• Educate athletes and coaches on injury prevention strategies and safe training practices.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with professional standards.
• Mentor junior physiotherapists and contribute to the ongoing development of the clinical team.

Requirements

• Qualified Physiotherapist with current HCPC registration.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience, with a significant focus on sports physiotherapy.
• Advanced clinical reasoning skills and proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
• Knowledge of sports-specific rehabilitation principles and exercise prescription.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and patient management skills.
