Senior Planning Manager

I am working with an established and growing

project services consultancy

that is looking to appoint a

Regional Planning Manager

to lead and develop an established planning team. This is a senior role offering a genuine mix of

team leadership, project management, technical planning and business development . You will be responsible for a team of around

6 planners , overseeing their workload, development and performance, whilst also remaining hands-on with key projects and clients. The Role

You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from

tender planning through to project completion , with particular responsibility for: Leading and mentoring a team of approximately 6 planners Managing the delivery of planning services across multiple projects Providing senior planning support to clients and project teams Developing tender programmes and construction programmes Programme management from tender through to completion Extension of Time (EOT)

preparation and management NEC planning and contract management Strong understanding and application of

NEC Clauses 32 and 64 Change, delay and impact analysis Supporting project teams with programme strategy and commercial awareness Building and maintaining strong client relationships Contributing to

business development and winning new work Identifying opportunities to develop existing client relationships About You

We are looking for an experienced

Planning Manager / Senior Planning Manager / Regional Planning Manager

from a civil engineering background who is comfortable operating at both a technical and managerial level. You should have: Strong UK civil engineering planning experience Excellent knowledge of

NEC contracts Experience with

Clauses 32 and 64 Strong EOT, delay and change management experience Previous experience managing or mentoring planners The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities Excellent client-facing and communication skills A commercial mindset and an interest in business development Experience across

both civil engineering and building/construction

would be advantageous, although not essential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond purely project-based planning and take responsibility for

people, projects, clients and regional growth
