Senior Planning Officer,
Full time, 6 Months Temporary contract
£Competitive - dependent on experience
Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire - Hybrid, 2 days on site
Do you have the capability to deal with a range of planning applications and appeals?
Our client, a local authority based in Warwickshire is searching for a proactive Senior Planning Officer to join their development management team.
Duties and responsibilities of the Senior Planning Officer include:
Dealing with planning applications including S78 planning appeals
Monitoring time scales and maintaining high levels of staff morale
Reporting on applications to relevant committees
Providing advice based on Planning Policy
Allocating, vetting and processing applications
Presenting where possible to relevant committees
Advising on amendments to development schemes
Ensuring that applications are policy compliant
Liaising with third parties
Exercising complete integrity and professionalism towards confidential and sensitive matters
Applying a flexible approach towards the work required
Regular attendance at committee meetingsEssential experience required:
Experience dealing with residential developments (up to 50 units)
RTPI recognised qualification
Experience of development management
Up-to-date knowledge of Planning Law and Practice
Good IT skills including MS Office
