Senior Podiatrist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Senior Podiatrist to join their thriving clinic in Reading . This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive foot and lower limb care to a diverse range of patients, diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior podiatrists and contributing to the strategic development of the clinic's services. The ideal candidate possesses extensive clinical experience, excellent diagnostic skills, and a passion for improving patient mobility and quality of life, working within a professional and patient-centred environment committed to delivering the highest standards of podiatric care in Reading .

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide spectrum of foot and lower limb conditions.
• Perform routine podiatry care, including nail surgery, verruca treatment, and biomechanical assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Prescribe and fit orthotics where necessary.
• Provide expert advice on footwear, foot care, and preventative strategies.
• Mentor and supervise junior podiatrists, overseeing complex cases and professional development.

Requirements

• Degree in Podiatry and registration with the HCPC.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Proven expertise in biomechanics, nail surgery, and diabetic foot care.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
• Experience in a senior or supervisory role is advantageous.
