Senior Podiatrist

About the Role

Our client, a leading private health clinic in Stoke-on-Trent , is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Senior Podiatrist to lead their podiatry department. This crucial role involves providing advanced foot and lower limb care to a diverse patient base, diagnosing and treating a wide spectrum of conditions. You will be responsible for developing treatment plans, mentoring junior podiatrists, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice and patient safety are maintained. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' foot and lower limb health, including biomechanical evaluations and gait analysis.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of podiatric conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders, dermatological issues, and diabetic foot complications.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including the prescription of orthotics, exercise therapy, and medication.
• Perform minor surgical procedures and nail surgeries as required.
• Supervise and mentor junior podiatrists, providing guidance on clinical techniques and case management.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• BSc (Hons) Podiatry or equivalent qualification, eligible for registration with the HCPC.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience as a Podiatrist , with significant experience in a senior or specialist role.
• Proven expertise in biomechanics, musculoskeletal assessment, and diabetic foot care.
• Experience in minor surgical procedures and local anaesthesia administration.
• Excellent diagnostic, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to train and mentor other clinicians.
