About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join their pioneering remote engineering team. Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize high-efficiency power converters, inverters, and converters for various applications.
- Perform detailed circuit simulations and analysis using tools like SPICE and PLECS to predict and verify performance.
- Select appropriate components, including semiconductors, magnetic components, and passive elements, ensuring optimal cost and performance.
- Develop and execute test plans for power electronic circuits and systems, documenting results comprehensively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power solutions into larger systems, ensuring seamless interoperability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex power electronics issues during development, validation, and field deployment phases.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Electronics.
- A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in the design and development of power electronic systems.
- In-depth knowledge of switching power supply topologies , control strategies, and magnetic design.
- Proficiency with simulation tools (e.g., PSpice, MATLAB/Simulink) and schematic capture software.
- Experience with component selection, thermal management, and EMI/EMC considerations for power electronics.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote work environment .
