About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Power Systems Engineer to join their fully remote team. This role is critical for the design, analysis, and optimization of electrical power systems, contributing to renewable energy projects and grid infrastructure development. You will lead complex technical analyses, provide expert guidance, and drive innovation in power system solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, modeling, and simulation of complex electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution.
- Perform detailed power flow, stability, and fault analysis using industry-standard software.
- Develop technical specifications for power system equipment and protection schemes.
- Provide expert technical support and guidance on power system studies and challenges.
- Collaborate with project teams, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices in power system engineering.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
- Significant professional experience (8+ years) in power system analysis, design, and operations.
- Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD).
- Deep understanding of grid codes, protection relays, and renewable energy integration.
- Experience with grid modernization, smart grids, or energy storage systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for a remote working environment.
