Senior Power Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Power Systems Engineer to join their innovative team, offering a fully remote working arrangement. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of high-voltage power systems, including substations and transmission infrastructure.
• Perform detailed load flow analysis , short circuit calculations, and transient stability studies.
• Develop protection schemes and coordination studies for complex power networks.
• Evaluate and integrate renewable energy sources (solar, wind) into existing grid infrastructure.
• Provide expert technical advice and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
• Contribute to the development of new technologies and methodologies in power systems engineering.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in power systems engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of power system dynamics, stability, and protection.
• Proficiency with power system analysis software such as ETAP , PSS/E, or PowerFactory.
• Experience with renewable energy integration and grid codes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
