Senior Process Development Engineer - Remote

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Development Engineer to join their team, offering a fully remote working arrangement. This role is integral to the advancement of new chemical products and processes, requiring a blend of deep technical expertise and innovative thinking. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of process development, from laboratory-scale experimentation to pilot plant testing and eventual scale-up for commercial production. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to R&D efforts, driving process improvements and ensuring the successful transition of novel chemistries into viable manufacturing operations from their remote workspace .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and optimization of new chemical processes from bench scale through pilot and commercial stages.
• Design and execute experimental plans to evaluate process parameters, yields, and product quality.
• Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) and ensure safety protocols are integrated into all development activities.
• Develop and validate process models and simulations to predict performance and identify optimization opportunities.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with R&D scientists and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless technology transfer.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process development and scale-up within the chemical or pharmaceutical industries.
• Strong understanding of reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and separation processes.
• Experience with pilot plant operations and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in process modeling and simulation software is essential.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills .
