Senior Process Development Scientist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Process Development Scientist to join their innovative team in Milton Keynes . This role focuses on developing, optimizing, and scaling up manufacturing processes for novel pharmaceutical products. You will play a crucial part in bridging the gap between laboratory-scale research and full-scale production, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize scalable manufacturing processes for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) or biologics.
• Perform process characterization studies and identify critical process parameters (CPPs).
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during process development and scale-up.
• Author technical reports, validation protocols, and regulatory submission documents.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless technology transfer.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Significant experience in process development and scale-up within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Proficiency in process analytical technology (PAT) and Design of Experiments (DoE).
• Strong understanding of GMP requirements and regulatory guidelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
