About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Process Development Scientist to contribute to their innovative research and manufacturing operations in Bristol . This role is crucial for optimizing and scaling up biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes, ensuring robust and efficient production. You will work on critical projects that bridge the gap between laboratory-scale research and commercial manufacturing, leveraging your expertise in process engineering and bioprocessing. This is an exciting hybrid role allowing for both hands-on lab work and focused analysis from a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and scale-up biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes (e.g., upstream/downstream).
- Design and execute experiments to improve process yield, purity, and robustness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during process development and scale-up.
- Characterize process intermediates and final products using analytical techniques.
- Author technical reports, process descriptions, and contribute to regulatory filings.
Requirements
- MSc or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in process development for biologics or pharmaceuticals.
- Hands-on experience with process scale-up activities and technology transfer.
- Strong understanding of GMP principles and regulatory expectations for process validation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
