About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Process Development Scientist to join their expanding R&D team in Stoke-on-Trent . This vital role focuses on the development, optimization, and scale-up of chemical processes for manufacturing. You will play a key part in translating laboratory-scale discoveries into robust, efficient, and safe manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of chemical engineering principles and practical experience in process optimization, contributing to the successful commercialization of new products within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize chemical processes for improved yield, purity, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct process hazard assessments and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Design and execute pilot-scale experiments to validate process parameters.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to facilitate seamless technology transfer.
• Troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to the documentation of process descriptions, batch records, and regulatory filings.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process development and scale-up within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong understanding of chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, and reaction engineering.
• Experience with process modeling and simulation tools.
• Proficiency in analytical techniques relevant to process monitoring and control.
