About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Process Engineer to focus on mineral processing operations near Oxford . This role is integral to optimizing the efficiency, recovery rates, and product quality of our mineral processing plants. You will be involved in process design, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with plant operators and management. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize mineral processing circuits, including crushing, grinding, flotation, and leaching.
- Conduct process simulations and mass/energy balance calculations to identify areas for improvement.
- Troubleshoot operational issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and implement process control strategies to enhance efficiency and product consistency.
- Collaborate with the R&D team on piloting new technologies and process modifications.
- Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and project documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mineral processing engineering.
- Strong understanding of comminution, separation, and hydrometallurgical processes.
- Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Metso Outotec, JKSimMet) and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively on-site and contribute to a collaborative team environment in Oxford .
