About the Role
Our client, a significant player in the petrochemical industry , is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to contribute to their operations near Bristol . This role is essential for optimizing chemical processes, ensuring safety, and driving efficiency in production facilities. You will be involved in process design, troubleshooting, debottlenecking, and implementing improvements to meet production targets and environmental standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a process engineering leader to make a tangible impact within a well-established company.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes for efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Conduct process simulations and modeling using industry-standard software (e.g., Aspen Plus).
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Lead process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Specify process equipment and collaborate with engineering disciplines on project execution.
- Mentor junior process engineers and contribute to the development of process engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering , with a focus on the petrochemical or chemical industry.
- Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
- Proficiency with process simulation software and data analysis tools.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Experience with HAZOP studies and safety regulations in industrial settings.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for the Bristol area.
