About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Process Engineer to join their dynamic team, working remotely from Leicester . This pivotal role focuses on optimizing chemical processes, ensuring efficiency, safety, and sustainability across various projects. You will be instrumental in driving process improvements, leading design initiatives, and providing expert technical guidance from a remote setting. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and implement innovative process solutions for complex chemical manufacturing challenges.
- Conduct detailed process simulations, analysis, and optimization studies to enhance yield, reduce waste, and improve energy efficiency.
- Lead process safety reviews (e.g., HAZOP) and ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate closely with research and development, operations, and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution and scale-up from laboratory to production.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical expertise to support troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts across remote teams.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, proposals, and documentation for project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in process design, optimization, and scale-up within the chemical industry.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and separation processes.
- Demonstrated experience in leading process safety initiatives and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a remote team setting.
