Senior Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their team in Bradford , contributing to critical projects within the Oil & Gas industry and related chemical processing sectors. This role demands a deep understanding of process design, simulation, and optimization to ensure the safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operation of complex facilities. You will play a key role in the development of new process designs, troubleshooting existing operations, and implementing improvements that enhance performance and sustainability. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute process designs for new facilities, including PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
• Perform process simulations and modeling to optimize plant performance and energy efficiency.
• Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs), HAZOP studies, and other risk assessments.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Provide technical support during commissioning and start-up of new process units.
• Ensure all process designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements in Bradford .

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering , preferably within the Oil & Gas or petrochemical sectors.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.
• Experience with P&ID development, equipment sizing, and selection.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
