About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their team in Reading . This role is critical for enhancing manufacturing and operational processes, focusing on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction. You will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of complex systems, applying advanced engineering methodologies and analytical tools. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure that operational standards meet the highest industry benchmarks. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and redesign of manufacturing processes to improve throughput, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
- Develop and implement strategies based on lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Design and optimize plant layouts, material handling systems, and workflow automation.
- Oversee process validation and qualification activities to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Manage projects focused on process improvement, new technology integration, and operational upgrades.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex operational challenges.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering or industrial engineering.
- Proven expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and project management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced data analysis capabilities.
- Proficiency in simulation software, CAD, and statistical analysis tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
