Senior Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is recruiting a skilled Senior Process Engineer to join their operational support team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is essential for optimizing the design and operation of chemical and hydrocarbon processing facilities. You will be responsible for process simulations, troubleshooting, hazard analysis, and developing improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and environmental performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in chemical engineering principles and extensive experience in process design and optimization within the energy sector. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct process design, calculations, and simulations using software such as HYSYS or Aspen Plus.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues in operating plants.
• Perform Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), including HAZOP studies.
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and operating manuals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering , preferably in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and P&ID development.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
• Experience with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
