About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled and results-oriented Senior Process Engineer to join their advanced manufacturing operations in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This critical role involves leading the design, development, and optimization of industrial processes to enhance efficiency, improve product quality, and reduce operational costs. You will be instrumental in applying sophisticated industrial engineering principles, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma, to solve complex operational challenges and drive continuous improvement across the plant. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to make a significant impact and take on leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and redesign of manufacturing processes to improve throughput, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
- Implement and champion lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies across production operations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including SOPs, PFMEAs, and control plans.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams on new product introductions and process validation.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on process improvement projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in applying lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and techniques.
- Experience with process simulation software and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex improvement initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership capabilities.
