Senior Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Process Engineer to join their innovative team in Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement process improvements for upstream and downstream operations .
• Conduct detailed process analysis, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop and maintain P&IDs, HAZOP studies, and other essential process engineering documentation.
• Oversee the commissioning and start-up of new process equipment and modifications.
• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and operational staff.
• Ensure all processes adhere to strict safety regulations and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering within the energy industry , preferably oil and gas.
• Proven experience with process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
• Strong understanding of thermodynamic principles, fluid dynamics, and mass transfer.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices relevant to Aberdeen's energy sector .
