About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly competent Senior Process Engineer to join their facility in Plymouth, Devon, UK . This role is crucial for designing, developing, and optimizing chemical and physical processes integral to the Oil & Gas industry . You will be involved in conceptual design, FEED, and detailed engineering phases, ensuring processes are safe, efficient, and environmentally sound. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with project teams, providing technical leadership and expertise. Key Responsibilities
- Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Perform process simulations and calculations using industry-standard software.
- Conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Specify process equipment, including pumps, heat exchangers, and vessels.
- Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.
- Optimize existing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and reduce environmental impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Process Engineer in the Oil & Gas sector or closely related field.
- Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus) and P&ID development tools.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mass transfer principles.
- Experience with safety studies and risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
