About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their thriving team in Oxford . This critical role involves optimizing and troubleshooting the complex chemical processes used in the production of oil and gas. You will be responsible for designing process improvements, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance across various facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, extensive knowledge of process simulation and design, and a proven ability to deliver innovative solutions within the demanding Oil & Gas sector .
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Perform process simulations and calculations to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Conduct technical reviews of process designs and operational procedures.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and provide engineering solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Mentor junior process engineers and contribute to the technical development of the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering within the Oil & Gas industry .
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and mass transfer principles.
- Experience with process safety management (PSM) and risk assessment techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
