About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Process Engineer to join their manufacturing operations team in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire . This role is central to optimizing and improving existing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. You will be involved in process design, troubleshooting, scale-up, and the implementation of new technologies to enhance production output and reduce operational costs. The successful candidate will play a key part in driving innovation and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment that values technical excellence and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and quality.
- Design and implement process modifications and new process technologies, ensuring successful scale-up and integration.
- Develop and manage Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Conduct process simulations and modeling to optimize operating conditions and troubleshoot issues.
- Lead root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure processes comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering , preferably within a manufacturing or chemical industry setting.
- Proficiency in process design tools and simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics , and heat transfer principles.
- Experience with process control strategies and instrumentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
