Senior Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join their established team in Manchester . This role is pivotal in refining and enhancing existing production processes to achieve greater efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will be instrumental in implementing continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshooting complex manufacturing challenges, and ensuring operational excellence on the factory floor. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for optimization, implementing data-driven solutions.
• Develop and document new process procedures, standards, and specifications to improve workflow and product quality.
• Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and equipment failures, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
• Collaborate closely with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operation and continuous improvement.
• Lead small project teams in the implementation of process upgrades, equipment modifications, and new technology introductions.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and operators on new processes and best practices in process engineering .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a process engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Experience with process simulation and modeling software is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
