Senior Process Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Industrial Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Plymouth, Devon . This role is critical for optimizing all aspects of their production processes, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement. You will lead key projects, implement advanced engineering methodologies, and mentor junior engineers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, to drive significant operational improvements within a challenging yet rewarding industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of improvements to manufacturing processes, workflow, and plant layouts.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to identify and eliminate waste and improve operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Conduct detailed analysis of production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and root causes of issues.
• Manage projects aimed at improving throughput, reducing cycle times, and enhancing product quality.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a focus on process improvement.
• Proven experience in applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (certification preferred).
• Proficiency in simulation software, data analysis tools, and CAD.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence teams.
