Senior Process Safety Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive process safety management (PSM) systems.
• Lead and participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), including HAZOP, LOPA, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant process safety regulations and industry standards.
• Provide training and guidance to engineers and operational staff on process safety best practices.
• Review designs and modifications for compliance with safety requirements before implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in process safety engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of PSM elements, hazard identification techniques, and risk analysis methodologies.
• Experience with safety instrumented systems (SIS) and layers of protection analysis (LOPA).
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., COMAH in the UK).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
