About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Safety Engineer to lead their safety initiatives on a fully remote basis. This critical role involves developing and implementing robust process safety management systems to ensure the highest standards of safety across all operations. You will provide expert guidance on risk assessment, hazard identification, and mitigation strategies, working collaboratively with distributed teams to foster a proactive safety culture. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
- Lead and facilitate Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), including HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL assessments.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international process safety regulations and standards.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive process safety training to personnel across various departments.
- Provide expert technical advice and support on process safety matters to engineering and operational teams.
Requirements
- MSc or BSc in Chemical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of dedicated experience in process safety engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of PHA methodologies, risk assessment techniques, and safety instrumented systems (SIS).
- Proven track record of implementing successful PSM programs.
- Strong understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, adaptable to remote work.
