About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Safety Engineer to join their remote team, contributing to the safe and reliable operations within the Oil & Gas sector . This critical role focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining robust process safety management systems to prevent incidents and protect personnel, assets, and the environment. You will play a key part in driving safety culture and compliance across all operations, leveraging your expertise to identify and mitigate risks in a fully remote setting. This position is ideal for a proactive safety professional who thrives on ensuring the highest standards of operational integrity and is adept at managing complex safety challenges from a distance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive Process Safety Management (PSM) programs .
- Conduct and lead Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP) , LOPA, and other risk assessment techniques.
- Oversee incident investigations and root cause analysis, developing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements for process safety.
- Develop and deliver process safety training to engineers and operational staff.
- Contribute to the design and review of new facilities and modifications to existing ones from a safety perspective.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of dedicated experience in process safety engineering within the Oil & Gas industry .
- Strong knowledge of PSM elements, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, and other relevant safety methodologies.
- Experience with regulatory frameworks such as Seveso III or OSHA PSM.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate remotely.
