About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Senior Process Safety Engineer to enhance the safety culture and operational integrity within their energy projects. This hybrid role, based near Milton Keynes , involves a blend of remote work and on-site collaboration, allowing for flexibility while ensuring essential project oversight. You will be instrumental in identifying, assessing, and mitigating process-related risks, ensuring compliance with rigorous safety standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct comprehensive HAZOP , LOPA, and risk assessment studies for new and existing facilities.
- Develop and implement robust process safety management (PSM) systems and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety legislation and industry best practices in the energy sector .
- Provide expert advice on process safety design and operational integrity to project teams.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, developing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Significant experience (5+ years) in process safety engineering , preferably within the energy industry.
- In-depth knowledge of safety analysis techniques (HAZOP, LOPA, SIL).
- Familiarity with relevant UK and international safety regulations and standards.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex safety issues effectively.
