About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Production Chemist to join their vital operations based in Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK . This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, efficiency, and safety of chemical processes involved in the production lifecycle. You will be responsible for troubleshooting production issues, optimizing chemical formulations, and implementing rigorous quality control measures. Working closely with the production and R&D teams, you will contribute to process improvements and innovation. This position is ideal for a chemist with a strong background in industrial applications and a passion for optimizing chemical processes within the Oil & Gas support sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze chemical processes to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve chemical process issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Develop and refine chemical formulations and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement and maintain stringent quality control protocols and laboratory testing procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on process optimization and scale-up activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in the laboratory and production areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in production chemistry, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry or related chemical manufacturing.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex chemical processes and optimize formulations.
- Strong understanding of analytical techniques and quality control methodologies.
- Excellent laboratory skills and familiarity with safety protocols.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement in Bradford .
