Senior Production Chemist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Senior Production Chemist to join their operations in Bradford , contributing vital expertise to the Oil & Gas sector. This role focuses on optimizing chemical processes, ensuring the quality and integrity of hydrocarbon production, and troubleshooting complex chemical challenges. You will be integral to maintaining efficient and safe production streams, working closely with operations and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret production fluid samples to monitor oil, gas, and water chemistry.
• Develop and optimize chemical treatment programs for scale inhibition, corrosion control, and emulsion breaking .
• Troubleshoot production chemistry issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Conduct laboratory testing and interpret results to support production operations.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to chemical usage and disposal.
• Provide technical support and guidance to field operations personnel on production chemistry matters.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in production chemistry, specifically within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven expertise in analyzing and treating produced water, crude oil, and natural gas.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for chemical management and application.
• Strong laboratory skills and experience with relevant analytical instrumentation.
