Senior Production Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Production Engineer to join their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Aberdeen . You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to the strategic direction of the production department. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily production operations, ensuring targets for output, quality, and cost are met.
• Develop and implement strategies for process improvement, waste reduction, and efficiency gains.
• Lead and mentor a team of production engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Collaborate with quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Champion and enforce all health and safety regulations within the production environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, or related field) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Proven track record of implementing successful process improvements and lean manufacturing techniques.
• Strong understanding of production planning, quality control, and health and safety standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills .
• Experience with CAD software and manufacturing execution systems (MES) is advantageous.
