About the Role
Our client, a significant player in the energy sector , is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Production Engineer to join their operational team in Portsmouth, Hampshire . This role focuses on optimizing the performance of oil and gas production facilities, ensuring efficient and safe operations. You will be responsible for monitoring production, diagnosing operational issues, and implementing solutions to maximize recovery and minimize downtime. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily production operations, analyze performance data, and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Troubleshoot production system problems, including artificial lift, flow assurance, and surface facilities.
- Develop and implement production enhancement strategies, such as artificial lift optimization and waterflood management .
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with reservoir engineers and drilling teams to align production strategies with field development plans.
- Prepare production forecasts, reports, and technical recommendations for management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in production engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of production system design, operation, and optimization, including artificial lift systems .
- Experience with production software and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of surface facility operations and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills required for the Portsmouth location.
