About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Production Engineer to join their operations team, remotely supporting assets connected to operations in Northern Ireland . This role focuses on optimizing the performance of oil and gas production facilities, troubleshooting operational issues, and ensuring safe and efficient production. You will analyze production data, implement enhancement projects, and provide technical support to field operations teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer to contribute to operational excellence from a remote setting, driving efficiency and productivity across various production sites within the UK Oil and Gas industry .
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Develop and implement strategies for artificial lift systems, including gas lift and ESPs.
- Troubleshoot production problems, diagnose equipment failures, and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee the execution of well interventions and workovers to maximize recovery.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with reservoir engineers, facility engineers, and field operations personnel to achieve production targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in production engineering within the Oil & Gas sector .
- Strong understanding of production operations, artificial lift, well performance, and facility integrity.
- Proficiency in production data analysis software and production forecasting techniques.
- Experience in managing production enhancement projects and operational budgets.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills for remote collaboration.
