Senior Production Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Production Engineer to join their dynamic manufacturing facility in Leicester . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and validation of new manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, developing and executing action plans.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to quality control protocols.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Operations, to ensure seamless product lifecycle management.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to production staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production engineering or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and process optimization techniques.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment , automation, and control systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
