Senior Production Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Production Engineer to bolster their Oil & Gas team based in Belfast . This role is pivotal in optimizing the output and efficiency of oil and gas production facilities. You will apply your engineering expertise to diagnose and resolve production challenges, implement new technologies, and ensure the safe, reliable, and environmentally sound operation of wells and associated facilities. This hybrid position allows for significant contributions through both on-site analysis and remote work, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.
• Develop and implement strategies for artificial lift, well stimulation, and production enhancement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to wells, flowlines, and processing equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all production activities.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers to align production strategies with field development plans.
• Manage workovers and routine maintenance operations, ensuring minimal disruption to production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in production engineering, with a strong focus on the Oil & Gas industry .
• Proven experience with artificial lift systems (e.g., ESPs, rod pumps, gas lift).
• Knowledge of well testing, fluid properties, and surface facility operations.
• Proficiency in production optimization software and data analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, hybrid work environment .
