About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated Senior Production Engineer to join their team in Belfast . This hybrid role focuses on optimizing the performance and reliability of production facilities and processes within the Oil & Gas industry. You will be instrumental in maximizing hydrocarbon output, ensuring operational integrity, and implementing cost-effective solutions. Collaborating closely with reservoir, drilling, and facilities engineers, your technical expertise will be crucial in enhancing production efficiency and supporting the company's strategic objectives. This position offers a blend of in-office strategic planning and remote operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor production system performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Analyze production data to diagnose problems, troubleshoot equipment failures, and implement solutions.
- Develop and implement artificial lift strategies and production enhancement techniques.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with facilities engineers on maintenance planning and execution.
- Prepare technical reports, production forecasts, and recommendations for capital projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in production engineering within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Strong understanding of production equipment, artificial lift systems, and flow assurance.
- Proficiency in production monitoring and analysis software.
- Experience with process simulation and optimization.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
