Senior Production Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Senior Production Engineer to join their team, operating on a hybrid basis from Bristol . This role is crucial for optimizing the performance and maximizing the recovery from oil and gas assets. You will be responsible for analyzing production data, diagnosing operational issues, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. This position offers a significant opportunity to influence operational strategies and contribute to the success of key projects within the oil and gas industry , working from our Bristol hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze well and facility production data to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Develop and implement strategies for artificial lift systems (e.g., ESPs, gas lift) to maximize production.
• Troubleshoot operational problems, conduct root cause analyses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct production system modeling and forecasting to predict future performance.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers, drilling engineers, and operations teams to ensure integrated asset management.
• Ensure operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in production engineering within the upstream oil and gas sector.
• Proven experience with production system analysis, artificial lift technologies, and well test interpretation.
• Familiarity with production software and data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
