Senior Programme Officer - Global Health Initiatives

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Programme Officer to lead impactful global health initiatives from a remote position. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and oversight of complex health programmes aimed at improving health outcomes in underserved communities worldwide. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in public health or international development, who can effectively manage projects, build partnerships, and drive programmatic success without a central office presence, fostering collaboration across distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of global health programmes , ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Manage programme budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with international partners, government agencies, and NGOs .
• Monitor and evaluate programme activities, collecting data and preparing reports on progress and impact.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on public health interventions and best practices.
• Contribute to proposal writing and fundraising efforts to secure further funding for health initiatives.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Public Health, International Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing international health programmes or projects.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a remote , cross-cultural, and geographically dispersed team environment.
• Strong understanding of health systems strengthening and key global health challenges.
• Excellent project management, analytical, and reporting skills.
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership building.
