Location: Buckley, Clwyd Rate: £300 per day Hours: 7.5 hours per day Contract: ASAP – 25 December 2026
## The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a major construction project based in Buckley, Clwyd. This role requires a strong civil engineering background with previous piling and/or ground engineering experience. You will provide engineering oversight on site, ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with design, quality and contractual requirements.
## Key Responsibilities
Provide engineering oversight across site operations
Ensure design and quality compliance throughout the works
Monitor and evaluate variations in ground conditions
Work closely with the Construction Supervisor to ensure works are planned and executed safely
Produce and maintain method statements, risk assessments and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
Ensure correct design information is being used and construction is delivered in accordance with design intent
Maintain appropriate records and liaise with designers regarding variations
Manage rig instrumentation records, production graphs and as-built drawings
Raise, review and close out non-conformance reports
Carry out and complete lift plans
Liaise with clients, engineers, suppliers and other key stakeholders
Maintain daily site diaries and project records
Attend and contribute to weekly internal and external progress meetings
Support resource planning alongside the Construction Supervisor and Project Manager
Understand contract and tender requirements and assist with contract administration
Liaise with the commercial team regarding changes, contract documentation and project records
Support the management of early warnings and compensation events ## About You
We are looking for someone with:
Previous piling and/or ground engineering experience Experience of projects involving Rotary Bored Piling, CFA piling and/or Pile Load Testing Strong understanding of civil engineering principles Good technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practice Experience of site-based quality and design compliance Understanding of temporary works requirements Strong health, safety and environmental awareness Good IT skills across commonly used software packages Relevant CSCS card Valid safety-critical medical fitness certificate Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with site teams, clients, engineers and other stakeholders
This is a hands-on, site-focused engineering position and would particularly suit an experienced Senior Project Engineer, Project Engineer or Piling/Ground Engineering Engineer with a strong civil engineering background. £300 per day \| 7\.5 hours per day \| Contract until 25 December 2026 Please apply with an up-to-date CV for further information
