About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Engineer to manage significant capital projects within their Sheffield, South Yorkshire operational base. This role is central to the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects that enhance and maintain their oil and gas infrastructure. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage contractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-oriented engineer to take on key responsibilities and drive project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of assigned projects, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of contractors, consultants, and internal project teams.
- Ensure that all project activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards in Sheffield .
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of project engineering experience, with a significant portion in the oil and gas or heavy industrial sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from concept to completion.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience working in South Yorkshire .
