Senior Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Senior Project Engineer to manage and execute key projects within their operations based in Norwich . This role is crucial for leading project teams from conception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of project execution, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project lifecycles, from initiation and planning to execution and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive management of potential issues.
• Monitor project progress, report on key performance indicators, and manage project changes.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in project engineering or project management, preferably within the industrial or energy sectors .
• Proven experience managing projects from concept to commissioning.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and excellent communication skills are vital for success in this role based in Norwich .
