Senior Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead and manage key projects within the Oil & Gas sector, based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK . This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise and project management skills to deliver complex projects on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will be responsible for all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to execution and closure, working with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Oil & Gas projects , ensuring they meet scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and finances, effectively.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct regular project progress reviews and provide detailed reports to stakeholders and senior management.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Ensure all project activities comply with company safety policies, environmental regulations, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project engineering or project management within the Oil & Gas industry .
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects from concept to completion.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in managing project budgets and controlling costs.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Chemical) or a related field.
