About the Role
Our client is actively recruiting a dynamic Senior Project Engineer to manage and deliver key projects within the energy sector, based in Derby . This role demands strong leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and a proven track record in project execution from inception through to completion. You will be responsible for overseeing project planning, resource allocation, budget management, and stakeholder communication, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. The hybrid working model supports effective team collaboration and individual focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of energy-related projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.
- Monitor project performance, track key metrics, and provide regular progress reports.
- Ensure projects comply with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or a related field.
- Significant experience (e.g., 8+ years) in project engineering or project management within the energy industry.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Experience with project management methodologies and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
