Senior Project Manager - Civil Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager specializing in Civil Infrastructure to lead key projects within the Wolverhampton area. This role involves the comprehensive management of large-scale civil engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery from inception to completion. You will be responsible for planning, budgeting, coordinating resources, managing stakeholders, and ensuring that all projects meet stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in civil infrastructure development and a strong leadership capability to guide project teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and public spaces.
• Develop detailed project plans, encompassing scope, budget, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Oversee procurement processes, contractor selection, and contract management.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations throughout project execution.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders, fostering positive relationships.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction management field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a substantial focus on civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing projects with budgets exceeding £10 million.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional qualifications such as MAPM or PMP are highly desirable.
