Job Description
A well-established property and construction consultancy in London is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join its growing project management team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to lead a varied portfolio of projects while taking greater responsibility for clients, project teams, and successful delivery.
The Senior Project Manager will manage projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and senior colleagues. This Senior Project Manager role would suit a confident Senior Project Manager who can take ownership of commissions, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and maintain strong client relationships. The successful Senior Project Manager will join a collaborative environment where a Senior Project Manager can play an important role in both project delivery and the development of junior colleagues.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Senior Project Manager's role
The Senior Project Manager will lead projects through feasibility, design, procurement, construction, handover, and close-out, ensuring that programme, quality, cost, and client objectives are maintained.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for programme management, consultant coordination, procurement, contract administration, project reporting, risk management, change control, and stakeholder engagement.
The Senior Project Manager will chair project meetings, monitor contractor performance, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and provide clear professional advice to clients throughout the project lifecycle. They will also support junior Project Managers and help maintain consistently high standards across the wider team.
The Senior Project Manager
The successful Senior Project Manager will have:
Prior experience working within a construction consultancy environment Strong experience leading projects from inception through to completion Experience across commercial, residential, mixed-use, refurbishment, or similar property projects A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or progress towards a relevant professional qualification Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement Excellent client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams The ability to manage multiple commissions simultaneously A proactive, organised, and commercially aware approach
