Senior Project Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead significant construction projects in the Coventry area. This role is critical for overseeing the successful execution of building and development projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of construction methodologies, excellent leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be a key figure in driving projects forward, collaborating with diverse teams, and contributing to the continued success of our client's development portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and design to final handover and post-completion review.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Lead and mentor site teams, subcontractors, and other project personnel, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project objectives.
• Implement rigorous quality control measures and monitor project progress against set milestones.
• Manage client relationships, providing clear and consistent communication regarding project status, risks, and changes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, health and safety legislation, and contractual obligations.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and project management software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in contract negotiation and management.
• Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
