Senior Project Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to oversee significant construction projects in the Stoke-on-Trent area. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in the construction industry, responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale building projects. You will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, from site acquisition and design through to completion and handover, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and budgetary constraints. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to lead critical infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of construction projects from initiation to close-out, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage relationships with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and potential issues.
• Ensure the quality of work meets or exceeds established standards and specifications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management within the construction industry .
• Demonstrable experience managing large-scale construction projects, including commercial, industrial, or residential developments.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CIOB, RICS) are highly advantageous.
