Senior Project Manager, Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager, Construction to lead major construction initiatives in the Nottingham area. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in managing large-scale construction projects from conception through to final handover. You will be responsible for overseeing project teams, managing budgets and schedules, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This is a pivotal opportunity to drive the successful completion of significant building projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Manage and mentor project teams, including site staff, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Oversee all aspects of site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and building codes.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success.
• Monitor project progress closely, reporting on milestones, issues, and financial performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; PMP or MRICS certification is advantageous.
• 10+ years of proven experience in construction project management , with a significant track record of delivering large-scale projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods , materials, and project management software.
• Strong understanding of contract law, procurement, and risk management in the construction industry.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
